rss | patch commited

Monday, December 5th, 2005

I got the feedback on my patch I was looking for (see: here an here) :)

Jan even caught my (I admit) somewhat intentional spacing implementation (confusing, over complicated) during his review of my (and other’s) qualms with eZ publish rss.

Now it turns out I don’t have write access to trunk (thank god?) so I must inquire a little further about who can commit this change for me.

Update: This patch was commited in /stable/3.7 rev. 14342 and trunk rev. 14343 as documented in the commit log and bug report entry (see comments)

A special thank you to Kåre Køhler Høvik @ eZ systems for commiting the patch.

rss | feed

Sunday, December 4th, 2005

Today I created a rss feed for the news section on Brookins Consulting.

Then I started thinking that it might be simpler just to have a domain like rss.brookinsconsulting.com which provided a site’s rss content rather than a http://brookinsconsulting.com/rss, so I set one up, it is very slick :)

Advertising studies show that more people can remember a simple easy to understand third level dns name than a url with a /path/to/unique/location.

eZ Authorize | 1.0

Sunday, December 4th, 2005

eZ Authorize 1.0 has been released to a select few for testing, review and comments before it’s public release.

Update: We are ready to start the first release.

We will begin to trickle release eZ Authorize (v1.0.0) via our site, on the solutions icon.

Next we will migrate development and release code for both eZ Authorize and eZCurlGateway into public svn on pubsvn.ez.no, then on ez.no two workflow contributions (#0, #1).

We are also going to go a head and publicly publish the first eZ Authorize Installation and Setup Tutorial. We are going to submit this article to ez.no for publishing in the community articles news.
